Description of Work: Repair HVAC in Building 1 South Wing.
Demolish existing roof top heating unit, demolish curb and associated items. Demolish hot/cold water supply and return to main line and cap. Repair insulation at capping point.
Demolish existing suspended ceiling including light fixtures and air distribution ducts and vents. Protect and support existing data and other cables in place. Remove and reinstall all ceiling mounted equipment.
Demolish existing heating only fan coil units. Demolish hot water supply and return to main line and cap. Repair insulation at capping point. Repair and patch interior finish to match.

Summary of Work Performed:
Modify existing outside air distribution ducts as required to provide outside air to new four pipe fan coil units.
Provide new outside air unit with heating water coil on second floor roof to connect to existing main duct. Provide new curb and flashing. Repair roof membranes at new unit. Repair to roof membrane shall be performed by the roofing contractor that installed the existing roof to maintain roof warranty. Thickness of existing roof insulation is approximately 7 inches.
Provide new outside air unit with heating water coil on first floor roof to connect to existing main duct. Provide new curb and flashing. Repair roof membrane at new unit. Repair to roof membrane shall be performed by the roofing contractor that installed the existing roof to maintain roof warranty. Thickness of existing roof insulation is approximately 7 inches.
Provide new chilled water distribution system to new four pipe fan coil units. Provide condensate lines off cooling coil of fan coil unit. Route condensate line to drain.
Provide new four pipe fancoil units. Unit shall have heating water and chilled water coil. Units to be concealed above lay in ceiling. Provide any required distribution ductwork from fan coil unit. Surface mount fan coils where necessary.
Provide thermostat control with lock for each fan coil. Provide electrical power to new fan coil units.
Provide new suspended acoustical ceiling system with new lights, louvered face diffusers and perforated face return grilles.
Provide new air cooled chiller and base mounted chilled water pump, expansion tank and associated equipment.
Provide new screen wall around new chiller equipment. Coordinate wall with chiller manufacture requirement for air circulation.
Provide electrical connection for new chiller and pump. Double-tap service transformer and provide new fused disconnects for chiller and pump.
Add AC in Building 5 East Wing.
Demolish suspended ceiling at affected area to install new chilled water piping. Salvage and protect ceiling tile and reinstall. Replace ceiling grid system with new in affected area.
Provide new insulated chilled water piping from existing chiller located outside into the building and into the first floor ceiling space, up the existing chase and into the second floor ceiling space.
Brace and support rack as required.
Remove existing heating only fan coil units (FC-16, 17, and 33, 34) and provide four pipe fan coil.
Provide new condensate drain lines from modified fan coil units and indirect into floor drain.
Expand SIPRNET Room Bldg 1 South Wing Second Floor.
Demolish existing partitions, suspended acoustical ceiling, light fixtures, and other ceiling mounted equipement.
Provide new secured wall surface over windows and upgrade wall security at room perimeter.
Provide new door and hardware for secure conference room.
Provide new acoustical ceiling and new lighting fixtures. Rework light switching to new door locations.
Provide 32 new conduit and data outlet box for SIPRNET station.
Repair Miscellaneous Life Safety items in Bldg 1 and Bldg 5.
Demolish existing stair tread nosing in Bldg 5 and replace with new VCT stair tread nosing.
Demolish and replace double door at Drill Hall to meet fire separation requirements. Fill in existing opening to comply with fire separation requirement.
Fill in existing opening between Drill Hall and Career Planner to comply with fire separation requirement.
Replace Exterior Windows in Building 1 for ATFP.
Demolish existing windows and storefront, abate hazardous material as required.
Provide new window and storefront units. Provide insulated spandrel units with minimum insulation value of R-11 at existing spandrel units. Provide dual pane insulated glazing units with low-E glass and argon gas fill. All units shall comply with ATFP requirements for ""low"" level of protection as defined in UFC 4-010-01 Table B-1 and B-3.1.
Patch interior finish to match existing.
Replace Exterior Windows in Building 5 for ATFP.
Demolish existing windows. Protect interior finishes and window shades.
Provide new window units. Provide dual pane insulated glazing units with low-E glass and argon gas fill. All units shall comply with ATFP requirements for ""low"" level of protection as defined in UFC 4-010-01 Table B-1 and B-3.1.
Patch interior finish to match existing.
Provide Miscellaneous Improvements.
Replace or modify interior door knobs at Bldg 1 with accessible latch hardware
Renovate Men's Head on second floor, South Wing of Bldg 1. Demolish all existing plumbing fixtures. Provide 3 new water closets, 1 urinal, and two lavatories. Provide associated toilet and urinal partitions.
Conceal exposed data cable bundle in room 224. Provide cable trough or other rigid cable protection system for this existing cable bundle. Finish to match existing wall paint color. |
