Description of Work: This project consists of a 10,000 square foot high bay weapons repair and assembly facility with a 9,000 square foot 2 story office area. Prior to construction of the new facility an existing building was abated of hazardous materials and demolished. Both buildings are built of reinforced concrete foundations and slab on grade floor. The superstructure is structural steel. The office floor and roof are supported with open web steel joists. The roof consists of a corrugated steel deck, 5” thick isocyanurate rigid foam insulation, ½’ dense deck and standing seam metal roof. The exterior walls are 3” thick embossed steel panels with a rigid insulation core. Wall insulation value is R-29 and the roof is R-38. An 13’x19’ entry to the building is built of split face concrete block and has AT/FP doors and windows. The shop/assembly areas have overhead bridge cranes, compressed air outlets, dedicated power outlets for GFGI equipment, comm. outlets, skylights for ambient lighting, gas fired warm air heating and evaporative cooling.

Summary of Work Performed:

The office area has acoustic tile ceilings recessed lights painted gypsum board walls and carpeted floors. The office area has shower locker rooms that are adjacent to the shop. Offices have voice and data jacks. Site work includes asphaltic concrete paved access drive, POV parking lot, access drives to the shop, overhead doors, landscaping.
